Watch and ask the expert gold prospectors as they show you how to recover placer gold with hand-operated equipment. There will be dry washers, recirculation equipment and other types of equipment. Meet the Roadrunner Board members. Board Member Peter Glenn will demonstrate metal detecting and answer your questions about the art of metal detecting. Kids bring your metal detectors and win prizes.
Free Hot Dogs furnished by the Old Cañon School Museum
Bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. The Museum will be open and Black Canyon Historical Society President, Bob Nilles will be there to discuss the history of Black Canyon City and the surrounding area.
Admission is free and open to the public. Sorry no dogs are allowed on the grounds.
